Overview

Totnes is recognised as a town where sustainability is a local priority. Dig deeper and find out what lies at the heart of Totnes and what makes it so special?

Totnes has a worldwide reputation as one of the founder towns of the global Transition Network. Transition Town Totnes (TTT) is a dynamic, community-led and run charity that exists to strengthen the local economy and build resilience for a future with less cheap energy, financial uncertainty and a changing climate. TTT has started or helped develop a wide range of projects that actively build community around local food, the local economy, housing, energy, transport, the arts and health and wellbeing.

Many people come to Totnes wanting to find out more about TTT and meet the people involved. The best way to do this is to come to an event, or join a walking tour where you can visit some projects and gain a fun and interactive insight into the world’s first Transition Town.

To find out more or to book one of the unique Transition Tours, email [email protected] or call 01803 867358. You can also see a comprehensive list of TTT events held throughout the year on their website.
