BOATING

The River Dart is navigable from Dartmouth to Totnes Weir (about half a mile up stream from Totnes Bridge). There is no self-drive boat hire at Totnes. The public slipway is on the east side of the river, half a mile downstream from the Totnes Bridge. CANOEING

On the River Dart upriver of Totnes Weir, canoeing is restricted. The canoe season varies according to location but lasts from 1st October to mid March. The tidal sections below Totnes Weir come under the remit of the Coastal Access Advisor Phil Sheardown. 07890 915115 [email protected]
