PHOTOS & FASHION: TOTNES CLOTHES IN TRANSITION 1930-2000

How fashion-conscious were we in the past? Totnes Image Bank joins with Totnes Fashion and Textile Museum (-using Devonshire Collection of Period Costume-) to tell the story of clothes in transition. Starting with peacetime (1930s), local events are shown alongside the evolution in fashion and textiles and commented upon by Curator Julia Fox and IB’s Derek Meacher. We see what Totnesians wore, why and if their clothes were influenced by High Fashion and textiles of the day. Come and show us what you wore then or the clothes you just adore! Tickets will be available from the Image Bank website or the Town Mill Office (Tuesday/Fridays) Follow the link AQUÍ Bar open from 7pm serving fine wines and craft beers Presentation starts at 8pm
